This year many families in our local communities will be facing a bleak Christmas.

Financial strains and family pressures from COVID-19 have resulted in more families than ever in need of some Christmas cheer.

The Mutual Bank invites members to contribute to our Christmas gift drive.

Every donation no matter how small can be used by our local charities to make the season a little brighter.

You can donate a NEW toy or gift by popping the donation into one of our local branches –Dungog, East Maitland, Edgeworth, Maitland, Mayfield, Raymond Terrace and Rutherford.

Due to the reduction of volunteers in most centres because of the current COVID restrictions, gift vouchers are a popular request from the charities. These can be simple grocery cards from major supermarkets where families can buy their own produce or ready-to-give gifts in the form of gift cards from major discount department stores, cinemas, Timezone, JB Hi Fi, etc.

Please leave your donation unwrapped so the local charity can easily allocate the gift to the appropriate recipient.

The gifts will be distributed to a local charity in the local government area of each branch in the week commencing Monday, December 13.

The charities include Carrie’s Place, Port Stephens Family and Neighbourhood Services, Salvation Army Maitland, Got Your Back Sista, Eastlakes Family Support Services Inc, and Dungog Shire Community Centre.
